goodbye 2009, hello 2010

Goodbye 2009, it was nice knowing you.

Considering all the crap that happened in this 365days (soon to be), 2009 is a year that I would rather, painfully, forget. If you can rewind life, 2009 would be blank, not worthy to be remembered.

All the disappointments, all the regrets, all the 'what if's came from this year.
For crying out loud, dreaming out loud is definitely a big no-no for me as 2010 steps into my life.

I do not know how to pen a resolution, because it usually renders me speechless of my inability to realise dreams, when I reevaluate the year. But I do know something - 2010 will be better than 2009.

Most of us need an ego booster somehow or rather. The frequency of the need is rather different.

It is just that we achieve it in a different way.

Either by having someone to click on the facebook 'like' button, commenting on your wall posts, having someone to agree on your viewpoints or maybe, maybe just trying to sound sophisticated and mature and logical.

Well, nobody likes the feeling of getting criticized, do we?

Ego boosters or morale boosters or whatever you call it.
We can't live without it, can we?

At the end of the day, we are still friends.

The toothless tiger lurks in the shadows, waiting to pounce on the lone quarry.

I am so sick and tired of false hopes.

I swear miracles don't happen.

Christmas soon, and it entails the end of yet another year.

About Me #2

Same as the previous post, if you are totally uninterested, please leave now.

I'll be frank. Like what I told edison and chekwei last night on our almost daily late night coffee table (gossip) talk.

I'm the sort of heartless person. If you do not contact me for a long period of time, I will not bother to contact you either. So in the end, we will lose contact and be awkward strangers when we meet next time, if we are that lucky. Thus, obviously I lost many friends due to my weird personality. On the contrary, it managed to sieve out the true friends, a chance for you to wait till the whole masquerade is over and dump away all the false pretence. But either way, I'm happy with it. Call me passive, call me a bitch or call me heartless or despicable or whatever.

And if any of my friends has any weakness, I am willing to overlook it and try to tolerate it. I try to not bear any secret grudges. I try to be frank from now on.

I can see it but I hope you are fine.
Can you see this?

Sorry chekwei! Japanese music is just not my cup of tea. I tried to listen to it already!!!

lc x.

About Me #1

I am a C personality, and the part that I hate getting criticized is very prevalent in my personality. But I like to criticize my brother's music tastes :p So there you go, a paradox because by criticizing his preferences, it presents an opportunity for me to get criticized.

Anyway, today I am blogging about my music tastes so if you are very displeased with me, you ought to get out of this page now. If you want to discover some music, well you could try reading on for a few moments.

THESE ARE ALL MY OWN OPINIONS. (flame shield on)

When I listen to songs, I listen to them in albums, from the first track to the last track. I rarely skip songs during my first few listens. Contrary to the popular habit of downloading the hottest single and listening to it only, I prefer to listen to the album. Because the album is a complete work of the artist, which represents his/her/their efforts spent in the studio. Because I can't capture the whole message he/she/they is/are trying to convey through one song only, so I listen to the whole album. And of course, there are always hidden gems in the albums. The first/second singles might not be the best/nicest song out there, so I like to listen to albums as a whole.

I'll do away with photos for now, might upload them when I'm free. I'm not really jumping onto the K-pop bandwagon because I don't really like listening to stuff that I don't understand. But when I listen to korean songs e.g. Clazziquai Project, I will check out their lyrics. I think they are very awesome. Their music style is very unique and has some jazzy feel to it. Generally, I like songs which have this jazzy feeling to it, allows me to relax a lot. Their vocals harmonizes very well, and extremely soothing to listen.

I am also a sucker for female singers, thus I listen to Rachael Yamagata, A Fine Frenzy, Lenka, Florence and the Machine, She and Him and others which I can't remember right now. I like artists who write their own songs. I think they can sing it even better, with more feeling and emotions; instead of singing songs which are penned by others.

I like to listen to bands too. I think they are a very good group of friends, who have very good relationship with each other, which I envy a lot. Plus, they can work together well. I like to listen to Beatles, Linkin Park, Oasis, U2, One Republic. Not forgetting, sodagreen, since they influenced me a lot. I learnt a lot from their music. Something which I shall talk about next time, in another post.

I don't really do ballads, but I find some heart-wrenching. So I listen to Leona Lewis from time to time.

If I'm in the quirky mood, I listen to Mika.

goddamn wall of text, I'll stop here. MSN me if you wanna learn more!

You are my one and only.

I fell in love with you since the first time I met you. Interacting, communicating with you had been a pleasant experience.

You are oh so shy. You are so elusive. I want to find you and share my joy with you.

I want to be with you, spend my time with you. We share the same sky after all. You set my soul on fire. You take my breath away. I'm sinking into the sweet delight of you.

I'm so sick and tired of this mad desire to be together with you. My heart is fluttering the every moment I think of you. As if it is going to fly away from my chest and unite with you.

Your scent sets me apart. I wonder which fragrance you use.

You are so perfect.

You left me and never looked back. I am stranded in an island, still mesmerized by you.

When will I get to meet you again, my precious Cherry Coke?

On a more serious note, I would like to move on.

First week completed!

But I bet you don't wanna listen to my work experience. Such negative views on Singaporeans.

But my friends are all okay! If only they can fit in even better... So many secret grudges.

And it's been a week. And I've been looking for you.

A very quick post.

I apologise if I don't reply any of your sms. My phone is currently perma-off since I am in Malaysia. So if you have any urgent matters to contact me, please email me or write on my Facebook Wall (God Bless FB!)

Unless there will be some constructive events or whatsoever, I will be unable to attend most of them.

And, can someone inform me when will the results ( O Levels ) be released? I totally have no idea when I am in Malaysia every day, working from 10am - 10pm.

Cheers, have fun while you still can. Don't slog it out like me :)

This is my December.
