A week in review.

The first week of school has concluded, with little excitement and anticipation for the remaining nine weeks. The first week was already, a bore, full of dull lessons and sleepy afternoons. To top it off, my sciences are screwed, with the sudden inclusion of lullabys during lessons, which is an offer very hard to turn down.

The only thing to look forward to, is the frequency of pen spinning during lessons. I must admit, my skills aren't up to standard yet, and I must repeat, I am not boasting. She makes chemistry sounds boring. Therefore, instead of listening, I would rather spin my pen or do something else.
The only highlight of week one, was EURO SYF OPENING PARADE/CONCERT. I went there with rj, as he had vip tickets. We went there with the hope of watching the parade. Instead, the parade was shorter than past years, mainly because it was held in the indoor stadium, I THINK. Much emphasis was put on the performances, with military/display bands performing, dances, singing etc etc. It's a pity we missed the first 30minutes or so, as there were fancy drills and PDS. Awww... However, the performances from the military band/display band, was truly fantastic. The dance and other performances were also full of exuberance and extravagance, full of life, very much of synergy, the theme of this year's Singapore Youth Festival.

Not to mention, the official life as a NCO also started. There is much work to do, with the heaps of homework to settle too. Juggling between school life and CCA life is not difficult, balancing them and setting priorities is.

Oh, look at the time. Enough of this, time to do work.

I've just read the newspaper and I came across an article about the real definition of blog. The word 'blog' evolved from 'weblog', as weblog doesn't sound very intuitive.

As time passes, people often mistake weblogs/blogs as personal diary. But blogs aren't supposed to detail one's daily life or musings. The article from a local newspaper, has given a general formula for a blog.

A blog should consists of an extract, embedded links and your own two cents' worth. Thus, should you come across any interesting articles/gagdets/myths, people will post it on their blog and give their personal commentary. However, people usually deviate from this, but it should at least consists of two of the above. It can be termed as 'classical blogging'.

Diary type blogs are meant to be sticky, you can hang around there for a while, admiring the pictures and taking a look at others' life; a classical blog, however, is not meant to be sticky and usually refers people to another site as it is meant to share information.

Enough said, if you want to read up more, go to this site

I made lunch for my family.
I whipped up some dishes for my family for dinner.
I made supper for my dad while watching euro2008.
They never complain, and there were no reports of diarrhea. All is well.
And, I love cooking! :p
Sometimes, caring for your family is just so good.
Sometimes, disregarding rules and restrictions are so good.
Sometimes, leading a carefree life seems impossible.

Yes, this post is late by one day, but nevertheless, Happy Father's Day!

Yesterday was the best experience in vivo.

Kenneth, edy and me raped walked vivocity upside down. We started walking from around 3pm, then we stopped at 5pm for sq. Dinner followed, and we continued on till 8pm. Kenneth wanted to do some shopping initially, which really sparked off my interest in getting the stuff that I want in my dusty wishlist. He bought a bag, like meh... I almost bought one, luckily my senses came back to me and I set my priorities right. Then we walked, walked almost aimlessly around around. Then we went outdoors, sat down facing the sea/under-construction sentosa.

With our guitars, we strummed foolishly, disregarding people's disapproving looks (I'm not sure about this, but that would make us look crazy and fun right?). Chat until sq came into the picture, and off we go, dived into the colorful and crowded world inside vivocity. After hours of procrastination, I finally decided to buy a t-shirt for myself. The first shirt I bought for myself after a very long time. Then we went our separate ways. Luckily kenneth managed to control his urge of eating a 20bucks dinner, or else I would have been seriously broke.

Today, was meh...More elaboration after the three days course.

I just realised playing dota makes my blood pressure rise. Hence, I shall stop playing dota for a month, whilst making more time to play maple or aruarose.
I had a very weird dream. If only it will come true. Ahh, my wishful thinking. The most beautiful dream I ever had.

The greatly needed study break finally arrived, after much drama during the Secondary3 camp.
Prior to this post, much events had happened. Secondary 3 camp at Taman Negara and Passing Out Parade 2008. After these events, the need for maturity and responsibility has greatly doubled.

Yet, there are cracks ,slowly showing up. Almost unknowingly. It is astonishing to know how a person changes as time passes. Be it gradually or drastically, we might not expect it, but we have to adapt to it, and correct it as soon as possible if it is the wrong behavior. The environment, as the background might not change after some time, but the people on the foreground will change, regardless.

Dining with my family is the most enjoyable thing to do. Better than nicking other's food and fill your plate up like a salad even though it was supposed to be a buffet, better than watching the clown make a fool out of himself and definitely better than sitting and rotting in front of my computer. I miss that kind of warm and get-together feeling. I miss the feeling of getting nagged at by my parents. I miss my good old sweet house. I miss my room. I miss my bed. I miss my family so much that I went back to Malaysia yesterday.

A new phase of life in my cca as it is time to take up more responsibility. Gearing up for the one week courses+camp marathon.

I believe I am a human, after reading The Lord of The Flies. After reading the book, I can somehow relate it to the context of my life. A person will manifests his ill intentions and true form by doing the things you detest and abhor. I truly agree to this point. And my favourite character from this book is the poor little Simon, who suffered an ill fate. Yet he is significant in my eyes, as the role he plays in the story made me think and explore about the human nature and life. I shall read the book once more, to gain a more in-depth understanding to it.

The stars spilled about.
